The Mandala is found in all cultures and essentially all religions. The word “Mandala” means “Sacred Circle.” It is that which connects the inner part of us to the greater existence that is around us. This healing mandala is acrylic on canvas with gold leaf, 3 dimensional paint and Swarovski crystals.
In addition to the originals available and noted on the shop page, most of the mandalas can be ordered as an embellished giclée (“gee-clay”). A giclée is a print on canvas. When I make a giclée, I take the print and add 3- dimensional paint, gold leafing (when shown on the original) and/or Swarovski crystals – making the giclée half-way between an original and a print. Thus, there is a difference in pricing on the different giclées. The more detailed the original is, the more involved the embellishment becomes.
